Make a child's dream of beating cancer a reality.

Through the generosity of people like you, over the last four years over $500,000 has been raised in support of childhood cancer research, and care for families.

The Sorento Custom Homes team and their Trade Partners stared on June 23rd and are working flat out in preparation for the Sunday, July 20th, "Deadline" in an attempt to do the impossible - build-a-home-in-one-month!

During the month of July, Trade Professionals will be working day and night, seven-days a week, fed and watered by our generous community sponsors to do what typically takes over 9-months!

Join us at 28 Visser Street in Red Deer's Vanier Woods - see the progress on the home, Pledge a Donation to a Trade, bid on Silent Auction Items - remember all proceeds support kids with cancer!

Net proceeds from the sale of the home will equally support childhood cancer care in central Alberta through the Hayley Haupt Palliative Care Room in the Pediatric Unit of the Red Deer Regional Hospital - and ongoing research through the Kids Cancer Care Foundation of Alberta. Proceeds from the Silent Auction, and Pledges of Donation to Trades support ongoing childhood cancer research through the Kids Cancer Care Foundation of Alberta.

On the morning of Friday, September 12, 2008, after a complimentary hot breakfast, hundreds of golf heroes will be teeing off with local radio personalities at the picturesque Alberta Springs Golf Resort just minutes west of Red Deer.

And as was done in our inaugural year, we will feature a full Bar-B-Que Banquet and Silent Auction following the Tournament.

Net proceeds from the Golf Tournament and Silent Auction, and Pledges of Donation to Golfers support ongoing childhood cancer research through the Kids Cancer Care Foundation of Alberta.

Help Somebody be a Hero - by donating to the Golf a Kid to Cure and Build a Kid to Cure. Your donation means the world to the kids and families affected by childhood cancer. You may donate online to a specific Golfer or Trade, or just because, by visiting www.kidscancercare.ab.ca

Be a Silent Auction Hero - One of the most significant elements of the Golf a Kid to Cure and NEW Build a Kid to Cure is the Silent Auctions, where we present many kinds of goods and services - donated by merchants, restaurants, parents and friends.

We would appreciate any donations that you/your organization could provide. They can be the form of certificates for services or merchandise, which can be redeemed after the event by the winners, or the actual merchandise itself.

You/your organization will receive a letter acknowledging your contribution, and will be advertised on this website as we receive hundreds of "hits" daily based on our name. Whenever possible, we will link your donation to your website.

Additionally, we will display signs and promotional material to acknowledge your generosity.
