Recent crime statistics show Alberta communities are safe places to live, work and raise families. All communities in Central Alberta have access to emergency services.

According to Statistics Canada, crime rates fell in all provinces and territories in 2005 with Alberta reporting the lowest violent and property crime incidents per 100,000 in western Canada

Police strength in Canada for 2006 has reached its highest level in over a decade at 192 police officers per 100,000 persons. All communities are serviced by the RCMP (Royal Canadian Mounted Police); one community has a municipal police force.

Crime is further reduced with community programs like Central Alberta Crime Stoppers and Construction Theft and Vandalism Prevention that include the Police, the media, industry and the public in a co-operative crime solving effort.

The City of Red Deer has a full-time employed Fire Department / Emergency Services force that provides 911 emergency dispatch services to the region. The majority of other Central Alberta communities have volunteer fire departments, which are willing to cooperate with investors on emergency services issues.

Various ambulance providers, including air ambulance, exist throughout the region providing timely service to all communities.
