President - Laurie Chapman      ...serving Central Alberta
 
Laurie Chapman, first elected to the CHBA-CA Board of Directors in 2002, re-elected as Second Vice President in 2005, and appointed First Vice President in 2006.
 
As President, Laurie is the primary representative of CHBA-CA in the region, and representative to regional, provincial and national levels of the CHBA.
 
Laurie has previously held senior volunteer positions in the CHBA-CA including Chair of the Red Deer Home Show Committee, and Chair of the Membership Committee.
 
Laurie is a Senior Commercial Account Manager with Community Savings based in Red Deer.

 
First Vice President - Jonas Neidert    ...serving South-Central Alberta
 
Jonas Neidert, first elected to the Board of Directors in 2004, re-elected to Second Vice President in 2006, and appointed First Vice President in 2007.
 
Jonas currently Chairs the CHBA-CA Events Committee, which coordinates the monthly Meetings of Members, Presidents' Ball and SAM Awards Gala, Charity Golf Tournament, and Charity Softball Tournament.
 
Jonas is available for discussion on housing issues serving communities south, east and west of the City of Red Deer. 
 
Jonas is President of Avalon Central Alberta, a prominent builder of Built Green® and Net Zero Homes in the City of Red Deer.

 
Second Vice President - Natalie Larkam-Kaun   ...serving North-Central Alberta
 
Natalie Larkam-Kaun was first elected to the Board of Directors in 2006, and re-elected to Second Vice President in 2007.
 
Natalie was the inaugural chair of our Associate Board, which was formed to draw more young people into the CHBA-CA and promote housing as a viable career option.  She was appointed Chair of the 2008 Red Deer Home Show in 2007.
 
Natalie is available for discussion on housing issues serving communities north, east and south of the City of Red Deer.
 
Natalie and her husband Cory form the owners and operating team behind Larkaun Homes serving home buyers throughout central Alberta.
 
 
Past President - Marty Bruin      ...serving the City of Red Deer
 
Marty Bruin was first elected in 2004, appointed First Vice President in 2005, and appointed President in 2006.
 
Marty was the inaugural Chair of the CHBA-CA Built Green® Committee, which introduced "green-building"  to our region - the second jurisdiction in all of Canada to do so.  He has twice been awarded the prestigious Award of Honour by CHBA-Alberta for his volunteer contributions to the industry.
 
Marty currently serves as Ethics Officer for CHBA-CA, and is availalbe for discussion on housing issues serving the City of Red Deer.
 
Marty is part of the third generation of leadership behind Bruin's Plumbing & Heating Ltd.

 
Executive Officer - Scott Boyd      ...serving Central Alberta
 
Scott Boyd was first appointed as Executive Officer in April 2004.  He sits ex-officio to all CHBA-CA Councils, Committees and the Board of Directors.
 
Scott is the primary resource for CHBA-CA Members, Officers, Volunteers and Staff.  He also serves as primary contact for public and stakeholder inquiries of CHBA-CA programs and services.  Scott also acts as liaison to regional, provincial and national levels of the CHBA.
 
Scott currently sits as a Director on the Board of the Central Alberta Economic Partnership (CAEP), Chair's CAEP's Welcoming Communties Steering Committee, and is a member of CAEP's Collaborative Labour Force Strategy Working Group.
