The CHBA-Central Alberta would like to give you some cold, hard cash!

Trades Scholarships at Red Deer College

CHBA-Central Alberta is very pleased to sponsor four annual Scholarships at Red Deer College. The Awards are given in recognition of excellence in academic achievement in combination with involvement in community-related endeavors.

In 2005, CHBA-Central Alberta increased its contribution, in fact, quadrupling it! Now being offered are:

Four (4) - $500 Carpentry Apprenticeship Scholarships,

Two (2) - $500 Electrical Apprenticeship Scholarships, and

Two (2) - $500 Plumbing Apprenticeship Scholarships.

Entrance Bursary at Olds College

CHBA-Central Alberta is very pleased to sponsor a new, annual award for a high school student from Central Alberta who will attend either the carpentry, landscape gardener apprenticeship, or heavy equipment operator programs at Olds College.

The $1,000 Bursary is given in recognition of aptitude in either of the aforementioned areas at high school, a reference from a teacher or community member, and a demonstrated need for financial support for their post-secondary education.
